Marketing Communications Specialist
Overview: The marketing communications specialist will assist sales and marketing management with communications media and advertising materials to effectively represent the company’s products and services to customers and prospects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and assemble persuasive and compelling new marketing materials with the utmost attention to detail
- Conceive and create effective marketing content for campaigns (email blasts, microsites, search engine marketing, etc)
- Write content and copy for marketing collateral
- Conceive and write customer case-studies and success stories and maintain up-to-date database of customer case-studies
- Support sales team with competitive research and briefings
- Assist with writing content for blogs and other social media outlets
- Research targeted industry verticals
- Research prospects and prepare lists for our sales team
- Provide necessary marketing collateral resources to partners
- Coordinate and provide training tools and resources to sales team and partners
- Maintain basic technical knowledge and understanding of Company service
- Prepare and perform follow-up communications, sending of marketing and collateral materials to prospective clients
- Support lead generation activities (research sales leads, identify the company’s organizational make-up, develop targeted mailings, etc.)
- Prepare speeches and presentations for sales team/senior management and coordinates the development of any associated materials
Requirements:
- 3-5 years marketing support experience preferably with a managed services or software company
- Strong ability to research and indentify marketing opportunities
- Proven track record of developing highly effective marketing collateral, campaigns and resources
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal, written, listening)
- Strong writing skills
- Demonstrated success working with senior level executives
- Strong initiative, team player, self-motivated, results-oriented, positive attitude and the ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and familiar with use of CRM software (SalesForce) and Adobe Creative Suite
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related field
- Must pass complete background check
Location:
- Remote office USA (telecommute from personal home office)
- OR - Waltham, MA or Baton Rouge, LA
