Windows 11
Microsoft has recently released major Windows version – Windows 11. FortiEDR Collector with respective Windows 11 support is now generally available for both Collector versions v4.1 and v5.0.
To avoid protection impact, please refrain from upgrading your devices to the new Windows 11 version prior to updating your FortiEDR Collector.
MacOS Monterey
Apple has recently released major macOS version – Monterey (version 12). FortiEDR Collector with respective macOS Monterey support is now generally available for Collector v4.1
To avoid protection impact, please refrain from upgrading your devices to the new Monterey version prior to updating your FortiEDR Collector.
END OF SUPPORT FOR OS X Yosemite
FortiEDR will end support for OS X Yosemite (version 10.10) effective December 1, 2021. The last security update from Apple for OS X Yosemite was in 2017.
Please upgrade your devices that are running with OS X Yosemite to a more recent macOS version.
OS Service Pack/Patch Product Update
FortiEDR is consistently working with Microsoft and Apple to develop/test new Collectors during the OS Beta development cycle in order to keep a Collector available for newly released OS Patches. FortiEDR will make every attempt to deliver a new Collector with support within 14 days after GA release of OS Patch.
Regularly Scheduled Maintenance Windows for FortiEDR Environment
Reminder: there are regularly scheduled maintenance windows on the first and third Sundays of each month, between 2 AM and 11 AM EDT.
During the maintenance window, FortiEDR Operations may perform necessary maintenance on our back-end hosting infrastructure to support the delivery of future system and OS updates. Some maintenance work might result in your Central Manager being unavailable for up to 30 minutes. During this time, data collection will not be disrupted, and endpoints will remain protected.
