In anticipation of Hurricane Ida, VENYU has initiated its Emergency Operations Plan.
The Data Center team has taken additional preparedness measures including the following:
- Reviewing and enabling physical security procedures.
- Contacting critical vendors and fuel providers, and ensuring that essential critical supplies are on hand.
- Testing generators and making sure they are able to run indefinitely if needed.

When danger is near and you’re wondering what to do next, here’s our quick action plan that’ll make the most of your time:
- Take pictures of any equipment that may be damaged in the upcoming storm, such as servers, computers, call center equipment, etc.
- Protect important documents and information, such as by sealing them in waterproof containers and by making copies.
- Identify essential personnel needed for the business to operate, and decide who needs to stay on site, if any.
- Communicate to all employees what their roles are and what the expectations are for attendance, communications, etc.
- Activate a remote office plan for offsite operations & telecommuting employees.
- Backup your critical data & systems to prevent data loss and reduce downtime.
- Ensure you have critical contact info, especially for the following:
- Small Business Administration (SBA): 1-800-359-2227
- FEMA Tele-registration hotline: 1-800-462-9029
- Insurance agent’s contact information
